The Index

Methodology
Every Business Index ranking uses the same five components. Each is scored 0–100 from filings and disclosed data, then combined into the headline BI Score with fixed weights — financial health 30%, growth quality 25%, market position 20%, governance 15%, digital posture 10%.
- Financial Health
- Balance-sheet strength, cash generation, leverage, and interest cover.
- Growth Quality
- Revenue and profit growth — and whether it's funded by cash or debt.
- Market Position
- Share, pricing power, and how defensible the moat really is.
- Governance
- Board quality, related-party dealings, disclosure, and promoter conduct.
- Digital Posture
- Technology adoption, data maturity, and readiness for the next cycle.
Not investment advice. The Index measures how a business is run, not whether its shares are worth buying. Scores are a journalistic assessment of disclosed data and should not be read as a recommendation to buy, hold or sell any security. Spotted an error? Tell our corrections desk.
