Corrections
Business Index reports on numbers. When we get one wrong, we say so plainly and in public — at the top of the story, not buried at the bottom.
How we correct
- Correction. A factual error — a figure, a name, a date, a filing reference. The article is fixed and carries a dated correction note above the body explaining exactly what changed.
- Clarification. The facts were right but the framing could mislead. We rewrite the passage and add a dated note.
- Update. New material information arrives after publication. The story is updated and the update is timestamped.
- Retraction. The central claim does not hold. The article is withdrawn, the reason is published in its place, and the URL stays live.
What never changes silently
Headlines, financial figures, quotes and attributions are never edited without a visible note. Typographical fixes that do not alter meaning are the only silent edits we make.
Report an error
